There’s something about a tasty little cake that brings such joy to children. I’m thrilled that I can prepare this recipe at home, enjoy a lot more cake pops, and save a ton of money.

How To Make StarBucks Cake Pops ?

01. Create Cake Pop Dough

Following all instructions on Cake mix box. Once cooked and cooled, trim bottom, sides & top of cake. Then using your hands or a mixer completely crumble cake. Once cake is crumbled add 1 tbsp of vanilla icing or buttercream. Once added using your hand or mixer stand form dough until it feels similar to play dough.

02. Creating Cake Pops

Melt the chocolate and set aside. Form a 1-inch ball using your hands or a cookie scoop. After the ball is created, dip the cake pop stick partially into the chocolate and then back into the cake pop ball. Next, using a cake pop stand or foam, set aside to dry for about 5 minutes. This will lessen the chance of the cake pop sliding off the stick.

03. Dipping Cake Pops

Remelt Chocolate for approximately 15 seconds. You may melt more if necessary. Dip the cake pop into chocolate, then gently shake any excess off. After dipping place on stand or foam. Repeat this step as needed.

04. Adding Sprinkles To Cake Pops

Immediately after dipping place cake pop on stand or foam and add sprinkles. Sprinkles must be added while chocolate is still wet. Before consuming, allow Cake Pops to dry for about ten minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 French Vanilla Cake Mix Regular Vanilla Cake mix works as well.
  • 16 oz 1 Container Vanilla Frosting
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Not Necessary
  • 12-24 Lolipop Sticks
  • White Sugar Pearl Sprinkles
  • 1 Almond Bark You may use pink candy melts as well.
  • Oil Based Food coloring If using pink candy melts, this step is not necessary but if you need to color the chocolate it must be oil based.

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the French Vanilla cake mix according to instructions provided on box. Allow to cool once finished.
  • Remove from pan & trim top , bottom & sides of cake to remove crispy brown pieces. Crumble cool cake completely by hands or using a mixer.
  • In a large bowl add cake crumbs & 1 tbsp of vanilla. Blend together using hand or mixer.
  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch bite sized balls using a cookie scoop or your hands and place them on parchment paper or a silicon mat and set a side.
  • In a bowl or deli container melt you chocolate in intervals of 30 secs. (Stir in between each melt) Add a dab of pink food coloring and stir.
  • Place beginning of cake pop stick into chocolate and partially stick halfway into cake pop. Allow to sit for 5 minutes.
  • If needed melt chocolate for 15 secs to reheat, stir and dip cake pop. Dip cake pop completely into chocolate to ensure full coverage & allow any excess coating to drip off.
  • Immediately sprinkle white pearl sprinkles over the wet coating before it hardens.
  • Place finished cake pops in a cake pop stand to keep them in place. If you don't have a cake pop stand, you can put the cake pops back on parchment paper.
  • Repeat the dipping and sprinkling procedure with the remaining cake pops.
  • Once completely dry they are officially ready to be enjoyed!
